Built in 1970 and renovated in 2006, this health spa hotel includes a total of 197 rooms spread over 7 floors, of which 184 are double rooms and 13 are suites. Amongst the hotel's facilities count a stylish foyer with 24-hour reception desk, a currency exchange facility, a cloakroom, 3 lifts (one of which is a panoramic lift) as well as a shopping centre with newspaper stand, post office, chemist, hairdresser and several small boutiques. Dining options include a winter garden café, a snack bar and apéritif bar, a piano bar and 3 air-conditioned restaurants (à la carte/ buffet) with separate non-smoking areas. In addition, there are 2 conference rooms, a secure bicycle storage room and, for younger guests, a kids club and a playground (only available in the summer months). In addition, guests may take advantage of the room and laundry services and medical assistance should it be necessary. Those arriving by car are able to park in the car park or garage.
Room description
The charming air-conditioned rooms are each fitted with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, a minibar, carpeting, a double bed and central heating. The larger rooms additionally include a foldout bed.
Sport activities description
The hotel features it's own health spa complex and also has 7,500 m² grounds with thermal baths, heated saltwater swimming pools, Jacuzzis, hot springs, a massage/ beauty centre, physiotherapy, an Ayurveda centre and pleasant sauna complex (fee payable for some treatments). In the outdoor complex there is a swimming pool and a large sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols. Other leisure activities include early, water or gym aerobics, swimming courses, water skiing, jet skiing, wind surfing, catamarans, canoeing, pedalo rides and beach volleyball. Sporty guests are also able to work out in the gym or take an organised bicycle or hiking tour (not in the summer months). Relaxation options include Tai Chi, Yoga, Pilates and Kinesis are offered for an added fee. Younger guests are able to let off steam in the kids club. A varied entertainment and leisure programme also provides some variation. According to the season, guests are provided with cocktail parties, theatre evenings, themed evening and special music evenings (Jazz, chanson, etc.).

This first-class hotel lies just across the promenade from the hotel's fine sandy beach at the heart of Portoroz, which offers scores of shopping and entertainment venues. A tourist information centre as well as links to the public transport network are to be found close by. Trieste airport is some 75 km from the hotel.
