The award-winning resort features an open-plan design and is set amidst tropical landscaped gardens. Natural timbers were used extensively in the construction of the building. From the stunning timber entrance to the tall cypress poles, to the pyramid ceiling, every effort has been taken to create a complex that maximizes natural light and breeze flow for a truly unique setting. This privately owned establishment prides itself on its warm and friendly environment with attentive service and dedicated staff. It offers 56 rooms in total.
Room description
Rooms and suites are well-appointed with a Mediterranean feel; decorated with wrought-iron and rattan furniture, terracotta tiles, wooden louvre blinds and colourful fabrics. Standard rooms vary in configuration, featuring either 1 king or queen or 2 twin beds. Family rooms have 1 queen and 2 single beds. 1 bedroom suites have a queen-size bed and double sofa bed in a separate lounge area. Studios come with a kitchenette and can sleep up to 5 persons in a variety of bedding configurations.
Sport activities description
The hotel has an expansive timber sundeck with shade, a standard swimming pool plus a large free-form outdoor swimming pool surrounded by bush rock and Pandanus palms, also with an outdoor spa bath. Live music weekly and on special occasions in Willie McBride's.
Comments from hotel
From 10 pm to 6 am, the hotel employs a night watchman to facilitate 24-hour check in. Please ring the night bell located on the reception door or proceed to Willie McBride's restaurant, located on Thomas Street. Late arrivals should be advised at the time of reservation. Cancellations must be received 24 hours prior to guest arrival or a fee equal to the first night's accommodation will be charged. All cancellations are required in writing via fax or email or if the client is in transit, by phone. The check-in is until 2 pm and check-out until 10 am. Children aged 0-2 years inclusive stay free of charge when sharing with 1-2 adults and using existing bedding, standard room only. A cot can be provided.

How to get there
From the airport (8-10 minutes), head towards the city centre taking the Captain Cook Highway. After several minutes travelling south, turn right at the lights into James Street, at the intersection of the Shell service station. 0n the roundabout, turn left into McLeod Street. Approximately 50 m along, turn left into Thomas Street. The hotel is located immediately on the right, taking up the entire corner. From the city or train station (5 minutes), head north along the Captain Cook Highway, the hotel takes up the corner of Sheridan Street and Thomas street.
