This country house is set on 20 acres of Northumberland countryside and overlooks the Derwent Valley. It has 48 rooms in total, including five suites spread across 2 floors. A lobby, 24-hour check-out service, a cloakroom, lift access, a bar, a restaurant, and room and laundry services are all provided. The hotel also has several conference rooms capable of accommodating up to 300 persons. For this reason the hotel is a very popular wedding venue. Parking facilities are available to guests arriving by car.
Room description
All of the spacious double bedrooms contain one or two double beds, while many enjoy stunning views overlooking the Northumberland countryside. All the rooms are fully en suite and come with heating, a hairdryer, direct dial telephone, TV, radio, data modem points, iron and ironing board, trouser press, tea/coffee making facilities and a hospitality tray as standard.
Sport activities description
Guests can enjoy complimentary use of the Leisure Club which includes an indoor heated swimming pool with children's pool, a spa, hot tub, steam room, sauna and gym facilities. Water aerobics are available for a fee. The nearest golf course is about 4 km away in Consett.
