The layout of the hotel is similar to the ancient cities of the Cultural Triangle where individual dwellings and central public areas are set in rural surroundings and connected by meandering pathways. The 112 luxurious two-storey chalets with verandas and balconies complete a feeling of comfort and relaxation. The hotel provides a lobby area, bar, games room, restaurant and conference facilities.
Room description
The lodge offers 72 superior rooms and 40 deluxe rooms and suites. The superior rooms overlook the natural vegetation and are situated on the ground and first floor. They comprise a bedroom and living room and feature individually regulated air conditioning, spacious private bathroom with large shower area, TV, IDD telephone and minibar. The deluxe rooms are newly refurbished and also include a minibar and bathroom with separate shower and bath. The suite rooms have a lovely master bedroom upstairs, a second bedroom downstairs, and an exquisite lounge and dining area with beautiful views of the gardens and lakes.
Sport activities description
The entertainment facilities of the lodge include a large outdoor swimming pool, table tennis and badminton. Massage treatments are also on offer.
Meal service description
The restaurant is an open space in tune with the architectural vision of blending in with nature. The resident squirrels are so tame that they will literally eat out of your hand. As for the food, there is a selection of western and eastern dishes with a generous supply of particular ethnic dishes.

Situated in the village of Habarana, within the heartland of the Cultural Triangle, the lodge is a convenient base from which to explore the ancient heritage sites of Sigiriya, Dambulla, Polonnaruwa and the Minneriya wildlife sanctuary - all comfortably within an hour's drive. The ancient city of Anuradhapura is 90 minutes away. Habarana is a 4-hour drive from Colombo.
