Hotel description Chateau de l'Ile
This 19th century hotel occupies the building of a former castle and consists of a main building and a neighbouring building, each with two floors, offering a total of 60 rooms and two apartments. It is surrounded by around 40 km² of parkland and lies in a forested area in the bend of a river. The building, which features traditional Alsatian architecture, offers guests a lobby area with a 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, a currency exchange desk, a cloakroom and lifts. Additional facilities at this fully air-conditioned hotel include a bar, salons, and a restaurant. There is also a breakfast and dining room and a conference room available. Room and laundry services may also be taken advantage of and there is a bicycle hire service (charges apply) and parking for up to 150 cars (charges apply). Younger guests may let off steam in the playground.

Set across two buildings in typical Alsatian style, the wheelchair-accessible rooms all come with an en suite bathroom with hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, a TV, and an Internet connection. A minibar, an iron and ironing board, a double or king-size bed, a hire safe, and either a balcony or terrace are also provided in all accommodation units as standard. The air conditioning is individually adjustable.
Sport activities description
The castle features the Ile Spa with a sauna, hammam, a hot tub, massages, and an indoor swimming pool (charges apply). Canoeing is possible for those interested in water sports, and it is also possible to play table tennis and billiards (charges apply). The nearest golf course lies about 5 kilometres from the hotel. Active guests may enjoy a work-out in the hotel gym, and themed evenings are organised for guests' pleasure. In the near vicinity, it is possible to undertake boat trips on the Ill, excursions to Strasbourg (cathedral, Petite France, the Vauban dam, and many museums), visits to the picturesque villages along the Wine Route, wine tasting in the wine growers' cellars, and cycling tours.
Meal service description
The chef, Yannick Mattern, welcomes guests in the Château de l'Ile and offers a menu featuring French and regional delicacies in three rooms with views over the river and woodlands, which can seat up to 95 persons. During fine weather it is possible to enjoy lunch on the terrace located on the banks of the river. Guests may serve themselves at the breakfast buffet. At lunchtime and in the evenings guests may select dishes from the set menu or choose from the à la carte option. Guests may book either a half board or full board stay.

This hotel is located halfway between Strasbourg and its international airport. It represents an ideal place to enjoy a relaxing stay, to do business from, and from which to explore the area. Guests will find a wildlife park and links to the public transport in the vicinity of the hotel, while it is about 200 m to a centre with many shops and approximately 10 km to the centre of Strasbourg and its bars, pubs, nightclubs and railway station. Guests will reach the Wine Route in about 30 km, Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle and Colmar in around 45 km, and EuroAirport Swiss CH in Basle in approximately 130 km from the hotel. It is around 6 km to Entzheim airport.
