Constructed in the year 1620, this building was one of the first hospices in America. It is a jewel of the Mexican Baroque era which has been converted into a modern boutique hotel. History, design and luxury come together at this emblematic building, offering the most exclusive of atmospheres. Renovated in 2009, the building houses a total of 28 guest rooms, as well as a lobby, 24-hour reception and check-out service and currency exchange facilities. The hotel features lift access, and guests may relax in the hotel's café, bar or restaurant. Guests may also make use of the hotel's WLAN Internet access, room and laundry services, garage and, for an additional fee, car park.
Room description

The completely remodelled en suite rooms are all equipped with minibar, individually regulated air conditioning, heating and Internet access. Other amenities include a shower, hairdryer, double or king-size bed and satellite/cable TV. A radio, safe and tea and coffee making facilities are provided in the room, and an ironing set is also available.
Sport activities description
Leisure options include a sun terrace, gym and hot tub. Massage treatments are available for an additional fee.

The hotel is located on Avenida Hidalgo at the corner of Paseo de la Reforma. It is situated a few steps from the Hidalgo metro station (about 5 minutes away on foot) and in front of the Alameda Central park (around a 3-minute walk away). The Franz Mayer Museum is also about 3 minutes away on foot from the hotel. The historical centre of Mexico City is about a 15-minute walk away, and the Palacio de Bellas Artes (Palace of Fine Arts) is approximately a 10-minute walk away. Guests can reach a bus stop within roughly 2 minutes on foot from the hotel, and the Estación del Norte bus station is about a 30-minute drive away. The Torre Latinoamericana (tower) can be reached by pedestrians in approximately 13 minutes. Guests with a car can visit the Chapultepec forest in about 15 minutes and the city of Toluca in around 45 minutes.
