We recommend the 'Chianti' restaurant about 200 metres from the Trivi fountain. Good food, excellent wine and reasonably priced. Stay away from 'Harry's' bar and restaurant on the via veneto where a bottle of beer, glass of average white wine and a pineapple juice will cost you 32 euros - 11 for the pineapple juice !
Ideally located near the Termini Train and Metro station, Staff are very pleasant and helpfull.
Breakfast was poor compatred to the continental breakfast served at the Rome Best Western Universo Hotel which we stayed in previouisly (both Roscioli owned hotels).
Being located in the centre, all of the sights are easily and quickly reached via the metro or 'hop on, hop off, buses.

This review is for the Best Western Hotel Universo which is where we were moved to when we arrived at the Hotel Royal Santina because of some problem. Close to Termini railway station which makes getting around Rome easy. Decent enough hotel, friendly staff.
Tour buses available near the Termini and close walk to most central Rome attractions.

I stayed in Royal Santina last year, however on this occasion, I didn't consider that the room was to the same standard. Also, it was situated at the front of the building and consequently very noisy.I cannot recall what I paid last year, but I didn't feel we had the same value this year.

FUITES D EAU DANS LA CHAMBRE MAUVAIS MATELAS PETIT DEJEUNER TRES MOYEN (PEU DE CHOIX POUR UN HOTEL DE CE PRIX) PAS DE CHAINE FRANCOPHONE A LA TV

Staff were always helpful when asked but were not forthcoming with their desire to assist - from behind the desk you had to prise them away from the computer to answer your questions.
Great location. It served it's purpose but would not re-visit
Needs a serious amount of re-decorating - the bathroom whilst clean was in desperate need of an update - the shower curtain was smelly and needed replacing, the ceilings were ridden with damp patches. Big black stains on the ceiling near the heater. Generally very old fashioned and tired. Not a four star standard by any means.View was to a load of scaffolding. The breakfast was open until 10.30 and yet by 10.35 they were asking you to leave and turning the lights off!
Great location - easy access to all the sights by foot and of course next to the station
