This is a great hotel in an excellent location. The rooms are a good size and standard though the pillows were a little small
and firm. The hotel seemed busy judging by the number of cars in the car park but the bar and restaurant were quiet both nights.
We had dinner in the restaurant on the Friday evening and the food was lovely and the service was very attentive. We got a
brilliant room rate and really enjoyed our stay.
The hall is located in the same grounds and we wondered over for a drink on the Saturday evening just to see if we were missing
out on anything. I don't think we were at all. It's a beautiful building from the outside but smells a bit musty inside. I
would recommend staying at the hotel rather than the Hall as you get all the benefits at a reduced rate. We didn't get chance
to use the spa as we were out and about everyday walking, eating and visiting sights.
