This beautiful 5-storey hotel with 72 rooms was built about 370 years ago as the residence of Archbishop Paris-Lodron. It was recently renovated in 2008, and facilities include free Internet terminals, an information screen with daily news, 2 lifts, a hotel safe at reception, a breakfast room and a luggage storage area. Guests are welcomed into a reception hall with 24-hour check-in and check-out service. The hotel also provides a currency exchange facility and, for a fee, a laundry service. There is ample parking in the hotel garage (fees apply).

Room description

The 72 comfortable rooms and the junior suite are ideal for rest and relaxation. Rooms with Internet access are available for business travellers for an additional fee. All rooms are en suite and equipped with modern facilities, including a bath or shower, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, WC, direct dial telephone, cable TV, radio, hotel information centre, minibar, ventilators, a seating area and a safety deposit box. The rooms feature either double or king-size beds. Special non-smoking rooms and rooms with anti-allergy bedding are available on request. Families may opt to book a large 4-bed room or 2 double rooms with a connecting door, and disability-friendly rooms are available as well. Central heating comes standard in all accommodation.

The hotel is close to public transportation, giving guests easy access to all the major attractions, including Mozart's Residence, the Salzburg Marionette Theatre, Holy Trinity Church, Getreidegasse and the Landestheater. It is approx. 6 km from Salzburg Airport.

How to get there

By car: Take the Salzburg MITTE motorway exit in the direction of the centre (Zentrum). Continue straight on Münchner Bundesstrasse, which turns into Ignaz-Harrer-Strasse and then St.Julien-Strasse. Turn right onto Rainerstrasse, and go straight on to Mirabellplatz. Turn left onto Paris-Lodron-Strasse. The entrance is at Paris-Lodron-Strasse 1. By train: It is a 12-minute walk from the station; head in the direction of Stadtzentrum/Schloss Mirabell. It takes 5 minutes to go by taxi and 3 minutes by bus to Mirabellplatz. By plane: A taxi from Salzburg Airport takes around 15 minutes. Alternatively, guests can take the number 2 bus from the airport to Paris-Lodron-Strasse.
