Built in 2004 and completely renovated since, this 4-storey designer hotel offers a total of 60 rooms of which 55 are doubles, 1 is a suite and 4 are single rooms as well as a 25m² garden. Guests may make use of the 24-hour reception desk, safe, cloakroom, lift, bar, games room and TV room. There is also an inviting restaurant for guests to dine in. Guests may also make use of the hotel's conference facilities as well as Internet access, car park and bicycle storage and bicycle hire facilities. We are particularly fussy about where we stay, having had one or two gripes with ?The Hudson in New York? during our stay.
However I have nothing but praise for Hotel Athenaeum in Florence. First and foremost our room was spacious and clean. We
enjoyed a lovely meal in the on-site restaurant on our first night enjoying cold meats, cheeses, mains and a lovely bottle
of local red. Our waiting staff were attentive and knowledgeable regarding the choice of wines, attentive but not over the
top which is very important. Overall the staff during our stay were extremely polite and helpful, frequently checking train
times for us for day trips to Sienna and Rome. I would definitely recommend this hotel for business or pleasure and perfect
location to main sites, little bit of a walk maybe, but after all the best way to explore is on foot! Warm Regards, Vin.
