This 24-room hotel derives its name from the twinning of two Sanskrit words ‘aman' (peace) and ‘apsara', the heavenly nymphs of ancient Hindu texts. The hotel is a tranquil home for travellers seeking to explore a culture steeped in legend and history. It is fully air-conditioned and offers a lobby area, hotel safe, currency exchange facilities, a bar and WLAN Internet access. Room and laundry services are also provided and, for an additional fee, guests can use the bike hire service and hotel car park.
Room description
All suites are finished in earthy shades with cool grey terrazzo, dark timber and ivory walls. Suites offer a combined sleeping and living area in an open plan setting. The king-size bed, writing desk and sofa are on an elevated platform. All rooms have a private bathroom with a shower, bathtub and hairdryer, as well as a direct dial telephone, Internet access, a minibar, individually regulated air conditioning and an in-room safe.
Sport activities description
The hotel's spa is accessed along a pathway paralleled by a long reflecting pool. The reception area is flanked by a lounge and a courtyard garden with an ancient rain tree. In the spa there are four treatment rooms, each with their private relaxation room. Hidden from view by a six metre high wall, is the 5 m by 25 m lap pool, providing guests with an additional swimming facility. Guests can also relax with a massage treatment, in the steam room, or enjoy a round of golf.
Meal service description
The Circular dining room with its soaring seven metre high ceiling offers breakfast, lunch and dinner. The house menu features Khmer and international cuisine and changes daily to include fresh, seasonal produce. The dining room also provides a walk-in wine cellar and an informal seating area where guests can enjoy drinks from the house bar.
