The gorgeous, romantic boutique hotel, housed in a converted Carmelite Convent, is one of the few buildings that remained after the 18th century earthquake that destroyed Lisbon. It was last refurbished in 2007 with contemporary lines and timelessness, recreating the elements of 17th century architecture. A long staircase of old stone steps climbs from the street level to an attractive and exclusive inner terrace, surrounded by lush greenery and the 17th century facade, providing a unique ambience and a sensation of tranquillity. With 32 guest rooms, the air-conditioned establishment welcomes guests in a lobby with 24-hour reception and check-out service. Room description
All rooms have individualised decoration, magnificently combining historical architecture and modern contemporary design and decoration. The Classic Rooms (approximately 17 square metres) have a classic British style, old brick floors and a bathroom, while Design Rooms (approximately 17 square metres) offer a modern contemporary design, wooden floors and a marble bathroom. Superior Rooms are large and spacious (minimum 30 square metres) with classical or modern decor, featuring leisure spaces, wooden or old brick floors and a bathroom (additional bed on request). The en suite bathrooms are fitted with a shower, bath and hairdryer. Rooms with either double or king-size beds are available. All rooms are additionally equipped with a direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, Internet access, a safe, a minibar and individually regulated air conditioning.

The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner both to guests and non-residents.
