Relive the plantation era of old Hawaii in private cottages set amidst a 27-acre coconut grove and by black sand beach. Originally built in the early 1900's, each of the 48 cottages has been historically restored and updated with modern amenities and conveniences in 2006. Facilities include a lobby, a small supermarket, a gift shop, a bar, a restaurant as well as conference facilities and Internet access. There is a maid service every 4 days and a laundry service is also on offer. Parking is also available for those arriving by car.
Room description
The 1, 2 or 3 bedroom cottages feature complete kitchens and large lanais (terraces) with coconut grove or ocean views. The accommodation is individually furnished, featuring ceiling fans, (no air conditioning), a safe, a rice cooker, a TV, a tea/coffee maker and an ironing set. Further facilities include an en suite bathroom, a direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, a microwave and a radio.
Sport activities description
The resort features a pool in the grounds as well as a Jacuzzi and and volleyball facilities. There is a championship golf course near by. The beach is not suited for swimming because of the strong current. A swimming beach can be reached in about 10 minutes driving.

Situated at the gateway to Waimea Canyon, this resort lies on the sunny west coast of Kauai. It lies 800 m beyond mile marker #23 on Motorway 50 and is just a 45-minute drive from Lihue Airport.
How to get there
From Lihue Airport: Exiting airport from Ahukini Road. Turn left onto Kuhio Highway 56. Turn right merging onto Kaumaualii Highway 56. Drive through Lihue and turn right to merge onto Kaumualii Highway 50.
