The city of Wolfsburg is in the German region of Lower Saxony.
This young city on the banks of the Aller got its name from the castle that was built in 1300 on the same spot. The city was founded to house the workers at the nearby Volkswagen factory. The main attraction in Wolfsburg today is the Autostadt, an automobile museum run by Volkswagen, where clients can test drive new models on a test track and find out about the evolution of the car industry.
The Little ones will also find plenty to keep them entertained at the Autostadt, where there is miniature track on which they can drive electric cars shaped like the famous VW Beetle. The Autostadt is remarkable for more than the many magnificent cars and test tracks it contains, another amazing thing about it is its wonderful modern architecture.
At the Autostadt even the smallest details were taken into consideration to achieve an incredible effect. Especially worthy of note are the highly detailed interiors and the use of landscaping.
