Saint Malo is a French port city on the English Channel. It is in the region of Brittany. Its circular walled centre dates back to the 12th century.
To access this fortress you have to enter through one of seven gates, the main gate being Porte St. Vicent. When the tide goes out it reveals the wonderful beaches of the Emerald Coast.
At low tide it is possible to visit the island of Grand-Bé and the Abbey of Saint Michel.
Saint Malo is home to countless narrow alleys that are rich in Celtic culture. We recommend visiting the Grand Aquarium, the Cathedral of Saint Vincent and its museum. Enjoy classical music concerts there and visit the medieval market.
Next to the wall, on the Vauban Quay, is the marina, which is full of boats and yachts. You will be able to take a ride on a little train through the town, both within and without the walls. There are also good spas and relaxation centres available.
Come to Saint Malo, a city where time seems to have stood still and where you feel that you might bump into an old pirate or corsair.
