Geographic location: Costa Rica in Central America is bordered to the north by Nicaragua, on the east Panama, with the Caribbean Sea and Pacific Ocean lying to either side . A volcanic mountain range runs from the border with Nicaragua to the border with Panama, dividing the country into two parts.

Stays are allowed upto 90 days by citizens from Argentina, Brazil, Panama, Paraguay, Uruguay, USA and the EU, while for nationals of countries Bolivia, Chile, Colombia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Venezuela and most of the eastern countries were granted a permit for 30 days. Climate: The climate in Costa Rica is largely tropical, hot and wet. However, temperatures cool down on higher ground and the area around San José and the valley area experiences year round Spring weather.
Vaccines: It's recommended to be vacinated against Diphtheria, Hepatitis A and Tetanus, however the biggest risks here are mosquitos.
Currency: Costa Rican Colón
