Muskoka is a Canadian region north of the Toronto metropolitan area. It takes in the towns of Huntsville, Lake of Bays, Bracebridge, Gravenhurst, Georgian Bay and Muskoka Lakes.

North of Muskoka is Algonquin Park, which is the oldest national park in Ontario and one of the biggest in Canada. It takes in about five thousand square miles of spectacular forests, hills, rivers and lakes, with wonderful rocks sculpted by the movement of glaciers.

The autumn is a wonderful time to visit this region, thanks to the palate of colours in the landscape, among which shades of red are predominant. You will be awestruck by the many types of birds, moose, deer, foxes, wolves and other species on show.
Enjoy the spectacular scenery while you go hiking through the Skeleton Lake Fish Hatchery Trail. There’s a good range of places to stay at Algonquin Park, including country homes, log cabins, camping sites and hotels.
