Bariloche is a city located in the Argentine province of Río Negro.
It is the most important winter tourism location in the region because of its natural and architectural beauty. This lovely city is in the Nahuel Huapi National Park, near the Andes. The splendid natural setting includes lakes, woods and mountains.
It is also a major ski centre, with the most important resort being Cerro Catedral, only 20 kilometres from Bariloche.
Lake Nahuel Huapi has clear, cold water, which, together with the mountains in the background, creates a truly beautiful natural landscape. Puerto Pañuelo is set on this lake, and from here it is possible to take excursions by catamaran to see the natural riches of the Bariloche area.
Many tourists come to the sunny beaches of Nahuel Huapi and there are many activities such as sailing, boating and rafting.
Another excellent place to see is the Cerro Tronador, with the Ventisquero Negro glacier at its summit, famous for the blackish colour of its sedimentations. Bariloche is a unique tourist destination with a great deal to enjoy, come and see it!
