Albania is in Southeastern Europe. Its capital is Tirana and its coasts are on the Ionian and Adriatic seas.
The coastal area is generally quite flat, but it is also peppered with bays and gulfs. Most of its beaches are unspoiled. The most popular beach is Durres, which has numerous hotels, restaurants, shops and attractions.
In the southwest, between Vlora and Saranda, is the town of Dhermiu, which has good facilities.
You will find several good museums to explore in Tirana, as well as historical landmarks, like the Mosque of Estehem Bey.
Berat is one of the most ancient cities in Albania, as well as one of the prettiest. You will see why they call it the city of the Thousand Windows.
Visit the marina in Durres, the city of Gjirokastra, the castle of Shkodra, and the Turkish baths and mosque of Plumbi.
In Kruja we recommend visiting its castle and the Old Bazaar.
Vlora is a port city port with good hotels, recreational areas, restaurants and beaches where you will be able to try numerous water sports. Albania could be the scene of a wonderful holiday.
